This glass dome is displayed in a residential home dipping down into a beautiful open concept room. The design was inspired by Lilly of the Valley flowers radiating out from the center of the dome and the perimeter is surrounded by Galanthus flowers. The stained glass panels consist of handmade glass with inlays in the sky to fluctuate the cloud colors. The powder coated steel frame suspends the glass dome up in the air 11 feet. It is anchored to the ceiling with a solid 8" wide circular solid sapele frame. The finishing touches were the addition of two suspended copper foil humming birds that attach and playfully dance from the center of the glass dome.
